Spring Fever-Outdoor Interiors

Admittedly, we are an interior design company.  But this time of year, I cannot help but start thinking about the great outdoors.  This feeling takes me over and I can’t let it rest until I’ve indulged in some outdoor activity.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t abandon my love of great interior decorating at this time of year.  There is so much you can do to lighten up your home for the warmer weather ahead; but that is for a future post so stay tuned.
Today my focus is on getting outside now that the long and dreary winter months have finally passed.  Although spring is officially here mother nature hasn’t exactly taken heed.  The weather is still damp and cold, so indulging in spring time activities may still be a bit challenging.  One solution, a greenhouse.  I’m not talking about the huge structures you may have seen on farms or multi-acre backyards.  There are many options that are small, flexible, and affordable.
One of my favorites is sold by a company called Green Wall Solutions.  These greenhouses are easy to assemble, environmentally friendly, and very affordable.  They are perfect for the hobby gardener who is dying to get out there and start planting the seeds that will eventually fill a garden with color and lush plant life.  For me it’s all about growing my own vegetables and herbs.  There is nothing like the taste of a ripe tomato just picked from the vines in your own backyard.  Or that wonderful smell of fresh herbs that have just come from your balcony garden to your kitchen cutting board.  A greenhouse gives me a head start so I can start enjoying fresh food from my garden sooner.  A greenhouse can also extend the growing season.  My inspiration came from my dad.  He has one of these greenhouses in his backyard and for Christmas dinner last year we had a wonderful salad picked fresh from his little greenhouse.  It was a taste of summer in the dead of winter and I’ve been aching to grow my own ever since.
What springtime activities are you most looking forward too?  Leave us a comment below and if you like this feel free to share or retweet.
